I got tagged again by a friend of mine I am supposed to mention 5 things people don't already know about me. That's tough to think of things to say. I'll try...Let's see...
1. I always beat the rush. Whether it's the fast food line, the movie line, the line at the post office, the grocery store, even the dreaded line at the women's restroom. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, it's totally random. I can't explain it. It always happens, just ask my family.
2. I love eating toast or waffles with butter and strawberry jam together, it reminds me of my grandma, she use to do that.
3. I love sitting around my mom's table and talking with all my sister and my mom, really having some good girl talk. I missed that.
4. When I get nervous my husband says I tend to put my hand up to my mouth, I never knew I did that until he pointed it out.
5. I'd rather go to the to see the OBGYN 5 times before I go to the dentist, it hurts so bad and I have has such bad nightmarish experiences. That's terrible to say, both are pretty bad.
6. This one just for fun. I dream of getting a passport and going to visit maybe just half of the places my husband has seen. I want to get a passport and actually have a stamp in it that says I've gone somewhere. Experience something and see something new and exciting.
I am supposed to tag 5 people, well I tag Janna, Stacy,Karrie, Hila, Becky.
The past is behind us.The Future is ahead of us,prepare for it.The present is here, LIVE it. -Thomas S. Monson

I love my Kids

I Love my Kids so much! I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to be their mom and what a great and wonderful responsibility that is. I love watching them learn and grow. It's been great getting to know Caleb and seeing his personality come out. It's been nice to see how Kate interacts with her little brother. I just want to express how greatful I am for my kids and how much I enjoy being a mom!
Blessings, Babysitting and Babies
This weekend I had a wonderful chance to watch my friends kids while she was in the hospital having their brother. Jerry and I had a lot of fun watching and helping our Friends Erica and Vince. It was kinda of new experience going from getting two children ready for Church to five. It was kind of nice to have a sneak peek if you will of what it would be like to have a little bit of a bigger family then we do now. It was really fun. The Kids were really great and I'm glad I was able to be there for them to help them. On Sunday we took the kids to see their mommy and new baby brother Ashton. I always cherished and hold dear to my heart the feeling I get when I walk into a hospital room where a new baby has been born. The spirit is so strong and Heaven seems not so far away. That peaceful, quite, joy. The site of a newborn baby makes me feel closer to my Heavenly Father. I feel it more so with my own children but I still feel it just as much with my close friends and family. I often have the words to Kate favorite song come to my mind.
"I am a child of God and He has sent me hear, has given me an earth home with parents kind and dear, Lead me, Guide me, Walk beside me, Help me find the way, Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday"
That give me goose bumps every time. We are so very excited for baby Ashton to be here and we are even more excited to get to know him. He is a beautiful boy!
P.S. I would normally post a picture of Ashton, but I wanted to leave that to his parents to announce their new little one into the world. It's their good news to share not mine.

Believe
Well, it's been a really trying week for me personally and I will spare you the details. I will tell you this, I'm always learning everyday what I could do better, and this week was not any different. I learned I need to find a balance in my life, not to stretch myself to thin and know that's it o.k to say no sometimes. That's always been a difficult one for me.My mom always tells me I need to use wisdom in all things and do what's right for me and what I can handle. I just happen to find my book of quotes that I like to write in today and found a little something that made me feel better. It's funny how things fall into your lap like that. My mom gave me this poem once at a different time in my life when I was having trials and it's always seem to stick with me. It goes like this....
Believe
Believe in yourself~
in the power you have
to control your own life,
day by day.
Believe in the strength that you have deep inside,
and your Faith will help
show you the way.
Believe in tomorrow
and what it will bring,
Let a hopeful heart
carry you through.
For things will work out if you trust and believe~
there is no limit to what you can do
~Unknown
This poem has truly inspired me to think more positively and to remember tomorrow is a new day, fresh, with no mistakes.

Not so Straight after All

Well, as some of you noticed in Caleb's blessing pictures, my hair is not so straight after all. I feel bad for not posting a picture, but you really didn't want to see that mess. So I have gotten the courage up to post the best attempt at making my hair look some what presentable. I still don't like it much, and my hair is really damage from the whole experience. It practically falls out in handfuls when you brush it, which make me sort of nervous. I guess it's going to take me at least 6months for it to grow in some health hair growth. My hair takes forever to grow. I told the hairstylist that it has never worked and how many times I have tried this and I don't really think she believed me. So now I'm living with half straight/half stringy hair, I hate this half way in between stuff. It happens every time, you'd think I would have learned by now that I was meant to have curly hair and to embrace it. Well I think I finally have. I vow to never straighten my hair again, you've read it hear everyone, never again. So off I go having lots of bad hair days for quite a while. I did it to myself, I know better, oh well.

I see myself
I thought this was really funny, Caleb was starting to fuss and as soon as I turned the camera around and he saw himself he stopped crying. Oh Yeah, I finally figure out this video thing! Don't forget to pause music on the side

Caleb is now 4 months old wow can you believe it. Caleb loves to smile at everyone. He weights 14 lbs. and is really filling out and putting on that cute baby fat. He just started rolling from is back to his side, not quite officially rolling over yet, but will be soon I'm sure. Caleb loves his bath, he kicks and smiles and laughs to whole time. He has been a good little boy. His acid Reflux is slowly getting better as each day passes. We were able to go to the doctor a few weeks ago and get him some eye drops to clear up all the drainage he was having. He end up having an eye infection. As soon as we started to give him the drops he looked and felt much better. We sure do love having Caleb around and is so exciting to see him learning and growing. As for the whole alligator wrestling...
Caleb has been very excited about his new Alligator Gramma Mott gave him. Gramma sent him an alligator right before Jerry went out hunting for the real thing. So I guess Caleb had better luck he caught an alligator before his daddy did. Caleb loves to hold it and looks at it and laugh. Most of the time he just sticks it in his mouth and sucks on it. So he wrestled the Alligator and I think he won!

Kate Being Silly

Kate sometimes says some really funny things, so I'm trying to write them down or blog them so that I can remember them. A couple of days ago, Kate got upset and was crying about what I don't remember, but she started wiping her eyes really fast and saying "eyes get happy, eyes get happy." I asked her what she was doing and she said "I'm trying to make my eyes happy". She was trying to stop crying but I think I like how she said it better.
When I got my hair straightened or attempted to, she asked me "Mom what did you do to your hair? You look like Karrie" (that's my sister, she has very straight hair.)
When we had gone on vacation to visit Michigan and family my mom had just gotten out of bed and her hair was looking funny from sleeping. Kate with a very serious tone says "GRAMMA YOUR HAIR LOOKS TERRIBLE". Let just say at this age kids can be a little to honest. My mom asked her again what she said just to make sure she heard her right.
I can't think of any other ones right now, but I'll post some more either when she says it or if I remember some ones in the past. I hope you get a kick out of them as much as I do

Photo Scavenger Hunt
Saturday our friends the Giustina's wanted to get together and do something fun. My friend Erica only had two requirements and they were 1. something cheap and 2. something to get out to the house. I was all for that. So we came up with having a photo scavenger hunt. We set it up where it was boys against the girls, with the exception on Caleb he had to go with me for obvious reasons. The boys came up with 20 ideas of what to take pictures of around the town and us girls did the same. We combined the list and set up a point/ranking for each picture. We didn't really know how many points to give each picture so we guessed at what would be the hardest things to get and gave them the most points. It was funny some of the ones we thought were going to be the easiest were the hardest ones to get. We left the list up for interpreted of how to get each picture. It was so neat to see the results and how creative each team was. We couldn't set up the game without having a prize to be won. Erica and I wanted babysitting services for an afternoon so we could go to a paint your own pottery place. The boys well they kept changing their minds, I still don't know what they wanted for there prize, something about watching the kids so they could workout or something. I'll have to double check that. So the game was on. We had so much fun, the kids had a blast, they really got into taking the pictures. It was such a good activity for the adults and for the kids. Oh I almost forgot that we had a two hour time limit. You had to get as many or all of the items on the list and be back at the meeting place on time. If you weren't on time you lost 10 points. It was fun going around our little town and getting photo of things that were special just to our little town. It was actually pretty challenging. The guys came up with some good ones. Well here is the list of items we had to find. The first 20 was the girls list and the second was the boys.
Girls List
1. someone walking a dog
2.Take your picture with someone in uniform

9. Welcome to Enterprise
10. Helicopter

14. The smallest house you can find
15. Graffiti
16. Someone 85 years old or older
17. Team sharing one soda (everyone needs there own straw)
18. Go to Burger King and all take pics with crowns
19. Grave sign
20. Water Tower
Boys List
21. Water Slide

39. Dothan
40. Fire Truck
The girls had trouble finding a police officer, but the guys got lucky and actually flagged one down that was driving and got him to stop and take a picture. I really like the smallest house pictures, we found the first school house in Enterprise and the guys found a DVD TV series called House, theirs was definitely smaller. The girls couldn't find the water slide. We also had a hard time pumping a strangers gas because for the last two days the oil company were threatening to raise the gas price in the south due to the Hurricane coming to shore. So everyone was out in long line trying to get gas. There was just not that many people pumping gas that day. There were some really creative interpretations of each picture and some pictures from each team turned out better than others. It was so much fun. Erica was such a good sport, I know it wasn't easy getting in and out of the car being 9 months pregnant. She did really great and the girls really liked posing for the pictures. I don't know about the boys, I am sure they had fun doing all the crazy things. We ended up going to Ruby Tuesdays for Dinner and Ice Cream at the Guistina's. When we got to their house we set up their laptop and our laptop and looked at each photo together. Boy we had some laughs and talked about what we did to get each pictures. I had so much fun, we have to do it again. We decided that we would change a few things up the next time we did it. We said we would probably think of more photo's to get and do more things with the general public and get them involved, because those pictures were the funniest ones to get. We even thought to have another couple of families do it with us. I recommend this to anyone it so fun and cheap. I did this once for a date night in college and remember it being one of my favorite dates, now I remember why because it was just so much fun. So the WINNER WAS............ The BOYS by 3 items. I'm up for a rematch. I'll post our pictures so you can see. Everyone had such a good time, it was great making some fun family memories with friends.

On Sunday we got the chance to give Caleb his Baby Blessing. He looked so handsome in his little white outfit. He looked like a little Angel. Jerry blessed Caleb and he did a wonderful job. It truly was a blessing fit just for Caleb and his personality and who he is. I know Jerry was very nervous, but he didn't let it show. Jerry really put a lot of thought into what he wanted to say and it was really nice. Jerry's Dad, Brian Mitchell, Bill Mozzo, Brenton Spivy stood in the circle to bless the baby with Jerry. We were able to have Jerry's parents and Jennifer, Neil, Sierra, and Mia here with us. It was so nice that they traveled so far to come celebrate this special day with us. It really meant a lot to us to have them here. We also were glad to see some friends from out of town here in Alabama come to show there support. Thanks Mitchell and Thomas families it was so great to have you there. All in all it was a great day and Caleb didn't cry and when Jerry held him up to show him to the congregation Caleb gave them one of his big smiles, everyone giggled at the site of it.
